What is GitLab version control?

GitLab, based on Git, is a repository manager used for collaboration and version control.

Similar to GitHub, we can use GitLab to manage projects, track issues, review code, and code integrationmerging all developers’ working copies to a shared mainline. Many organizations and teams use GitLab to host their code and projects.

The main difference between GitHub and GitLab is that we usually use GitLab to host web-related projects. GitLab also provides a feature-based, centralized platform for web developers.
