How to get a Custom Search JSON API key

The Custom Search JSON API helps programmers use programmable search engines in their web applications. It helps them retrieve and display outputs of the search engine using a JSON format.

Here is how to get the Custom Search JSON API key:

• To get the Custom Search JSON API key, open this link.

• You’ll see the following page:

• On this page, scroll down to the “API key” section and click the button labeled “Get a Key.”

• This brings up a popup that asks you to create a project. You can click the dropdown to see previous projects.

• Click “Create a new project” to make your own project.

Note: You can give it any name you want.

• Next, click the “Yes” checkbox to agree to the terms and conditions.
• Then, click “Next” to get the API key.
• After that, you’ll get the following popup. Click “SHOW KEY” to see your API key.

• You can copy the key to the clipboard and use it to integrate your programmable search engine into your web application.

Note: The free version of Custom Search JSON API has a limit of 100 search queries per day. If you require more than this, you can pay $5 per 1,000 queries for up to 10,000 queries a day.
