With the speed at which new, complex applications and software are being developed, the memory requirement for a single computing device has shot up. Not a long time ago, having 4 Gigabyte(GB) memory in a computer was overkill for some people. Gradually, our devices have evolved to such an extent that even mobile phones are equipped with 8, 10, or even 12 GB RAM.
Even though some memory optimization is tweaked with every new iteration of android software, the gap between that optimization and the RAM requirement for recent applications and software is huge.
The only way to keep a massively demanding application from slowing down your phone is to have a greater amount of memory. Otherwise, the android device will have memory-fill, and its memory daemons will start killing the app to release memory.
However, there is a way that you can monitor your android device memory and take actions to avoid filling up the RAM. The emptier your memory, the smoother your device.
Here are two ways to check on your phone’s memory consumption:
Most android phones let the user monitor the state of memory consumption using memory options in the settings. This option might be named memory or RAM. All you need to do is tap the option to view a breakdown of which processes and applications are occupying the memory.
Some android phones give you an option to clear the memory by by closing down your applications.

If you don’t know what developer options are, then it is likely that the developer options are not enabled on your device.

Once you have successfully enabled the developer options, you will see it written at the very end in your settings.
Once you go into these developer options, make sure you do not change anything without the knowledge of what it does. Otherwise, you might end up irrecoverably damaging your phone’s android software and turn your phone into a brick.
